Ford Recalling Vehicles Due to Fuel Leak Potential | DC Metro Area Personal Injury Law Blog

Ford Motor Company has announced a global recall of 465,000 current model year cars because of a fuel leak and potential fire risk. Models included are 2013 Ford Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion, Interceptor Utility, Interceptor Sedan, and Lincoln MKS, MKT and MKZ. A connector from the fuel tank to the fuel line is considered to be the source of the fuel leak. Dealers will be replacing the fuel delivery module to repair the leak.

Although Ford has indicated that it is not aware of any fires or injuries caused by the fuel leak problems, about 600 complaints regarding it have come from customers. Owners of 2013 Ford vehicles included in this recall should contact their dealers for advice regarding repairs.
