Legal Malpractice
It can be difficult to find attorneys who handle legal malpractice cases. We believe, however, that we have an ethical duty to clients who have been wronged by their attorney. These cases are very hard-fought and extremely expensive to litigate. Most legal malpractice cases go to trial and are not settled. It is crucial to have an experienced trial team such as the lawyers of Regan Zambri & Long to evaluate and handle your case.
To prove a legal malpractice claim, at least the following must be shown: 1) an attorney-client relationship existed; 2) the lawyer breached a duty he or she owed to the client; and 3) the lawyer’s wrongdoing caused harm to the client.
Examples of legal malpractice include letting the statute of limitations expire on a meritorious case and theft of client funds. Our law firm does not usually handle the following types of legal malpractice cases: criminal defense; family law (including divorce and child custody); and cases where you are still represented by your lawyer.
